Towify is used by towing companies and their teams: the web console for dispatch and billing, the Towify Driver app for drivers, and the Towify Pulse app for owners. If something isn’t working, we’re here to help.
1. Contact us
Email info@towify.co.za. We reply on South African business days, usually within one working day.
To help us sort it out quickly, please include:
- Your company name (the towing company you work for or own).
- Which part of Towify it’s about: Towify Driver, Towify Pulse or the web console.
- What happened: what you were doing, what you expected, what you saw instead, and roughly when. A screenshot helps.
2. Signing in
- Accounts are created by your employer. Your dispatcher or company owner invites you from the Towify console; there is no separate sign-up in the apps.
- To sign in, enter your work email and we email you a sign-in code. Type the code into the app. Codes expire, so request a new one if it has been a while.
- No code arriving? Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you typed the same email address your company invited.
- Still stuck, or changed your email address? Ask your dispatcher or company owner to resend your invite from the console.
3. Location in the Towify Driver app
The Driver app shares your truck’s location with your dispatcher only while you are on duty: while you are available for dispatch and while you are on an active tow job. This lets your dispatcher send the nearest truck to a call. To stop sharing, go offline in the app; tracking stops straight away. You can also change the app’s location permission in your phone’s settings at any time.
4. Deleting your account or data
This applies to accounts in Towify Driver, Towify Pulse and the web console. To ask for your account and personal information to be deleted:
- Email info@towify.co.za with the subject Account deletion request, from the email address you sign in with.
- Tell us the name of the towing company you work for or own.
- We confirm the request came from you, then delete your account within 30 days and email you when it’s done.
What we delete: your sign-in account (email address and password), your name and phone number on your profile, and the push-notification tokens for your devices. You won’t be able to sign in to the apps again.
What is kept, and for how long: job records you worked on (status history, vehicle photos, signatures and inventories) and invoices belong to the towing company as its business records, so they stay in its account. Tax invoices are kept for at least five years, as South African tax law requires. Truck location history is deleted automatically after 90 days. Copies in backups expire under our providers’ backup schedules. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
